Police in Fermanagh have dealt with two separate road incidents on the same day, closing a road in Lisbellaw and issuing a warning about an oil spill in Enniskillen.

A single-vehicle crash occurred on the Inishmore Road area of Lisbellaw. Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed near the Whilliter Road. Motorists were advised to seek alternative routes. The PSNI confirmed they were at the scene of the collision.

In Enniskillen, police warned road users to exercise caution when travelling from the Irvinestown Road towards Cornagrade Road due to an oil spill. The Department for Infrastructure Roads service was notified and attended to treat the affected section of road. Drivers were asked to slow down and take extra care during the clean-up operation.

No further details were provided about the cause of the crash or the source of the oil spill. The incidents caused disruption in the local area, with police urging drivers to remain vigilant.

A separate missing person appeal was issued by Gardaí for a 16-year-old girl from Cootehill, Co Cavan, but this was not related to the road incidents and is outside Northern Ireland.
