The Foyle Maritime Festival will run from 25 to 28 June 2026 in Londonderry.

More than 100,000 visitors are expected for the four-day event organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council.

Tall Ships will return alongside a full-scale replica 17th-century Spanish galleon open for public tours.

A new illuminated night-time installation called Sails of Solas will feature light displays on visiting ships and the waterfront.

The fireworks display has been moved to Sunday evening as the closing event.

A giant wheel named the Earhart Eye will operate at Queen's Quay with views across the city.

Extended hours until 11pm each night are planned along with live music, street theatre, markets and the LegenDerry Food Village.

Mayor RuairĂ McHugh said the festival has become one of the city's defining events and delivers economic benefits for local businesses.

Siobhan McGuigan of Tourism NI said the event promotes the North West to visitors from Ireland and beyond.

Sustainability measures including a ban on single-use plastics and water refill stations will apply.

The festival is delivered in partnership with Foyle Port and Loughs Agency with support from Tourism NI and Diageo.
