62-Year-Old Charged After Attempted Shop Robbery in Omagh
Police in Omagh arrested a 62-year-old man after an attempted robbery at a business on Brookmount Road. The incident took place on Friday, April 24, shortly after 10:45pm.
A masked man entered the shop and threatened staff. He demanded cash from the till but left without taking anything.
Officers arrested a suspect soon afterwards. The 62-year-old now faces charges including attempted robbery, possession of a firearm or imitation firearm during the offence, and resisting police.
He is due in Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 27. The Public Prosecution Service will review the charges as standard procedure.
