Utility Regulator Outlines March Activities in New Newsletter
The Utility Regulator for Northern Ireland released its March newsletter, summarising activities from the past month. The document covers regulatory duties, stakeholder engagements, and industry participation.
Staff met with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council councillors in Coleraine on 3 March to discuss the regulator's role in protecting energy and water consumers.
On 4 March, the regulator presented evidence to the Committee for Infrastructure regarding the PC28 consultation. The review of Firmus Energy's regulated gas tariff in the Ten Towns area concluded on 5 March.
The Quarterly Retail Energy Market Monitoring report appeared on 12 March. The Board visited Silent Valley on 18 March and met local stakeholders. That day, presentations went to the Committee for the Economy on the Forward Work Programme for 2026/2027, Customer Care Register, interconnection progress, and Guaranteed Service Standards consultation feedback.
