Lisa Molloy of Dromara Street in Belfast received a three-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, at Belfast Magistrates Court on 31 March 2026.

Belfast City Council prosecuted Molloy after her conviction under Article 29(2) of The Dogs (Northern Ireland) Order 1983 for an offence involving a dog attacking a person.

The case stemmed from an incident on 22 April 2025 on Rutland Street, where three French Bulldog type dogs kept by Molloy attacked a person in public while off lead.

The victim sustained injuries to their arms and legs.

Molloy must pay £100 compensation to the victim plus £128 in legal and court costs.
