Sandra Bailie from Newtownards and Chloe Watson from Bangor won gold medals in the British Isles Pairs bowls competition last week at Belfast Indoor Stadium.

The pair previously won gold in the same event in 2018. They advanced through the Irish stadium bowls finals in February.

Bailie and Watson teamed with Cliodhna Eadie and Alison Morris for rink wins in the Internationals series on the home carpet.

In the semi-final they defeated a Welsh pair 22-10. They then beat a Scottish pair 17-10 in the final to secure the title.
