Bangor Ladies Claim 4-1 Win Over Craigavon City in NIWFA Championship
Bangor Ladies beat Craigavon City Ladies 4-1 at Clandeboye Park in the NIWFA Championship. The result marks three wins from three matches this season for Bangor under new manager Rory Hamill.
Bangor scored nine goals and conceded one across victories against Strabane Athletic, Ballymena United and Craigavon City. Forward Olivia Marshall scored one goal and assisted two others.
Craigavon defender Ellie McParland scored an own goal from Marshall's delivery in the second minute. Marshall passed to Emi Wynne for a second goal in the fourth minute. Marshall scored with a low shot into the bottom right corner in the 26th minute.
Craigavon winger Niamh Murray scored past Bangor goalkeeper Amy Wignall in the 50th minute. Bangor player Amber Dempster scored from a long-range free kick near the 60th minute.
Marshall stated the team plans to continue winning and build as a squad under manager Rory Hamill and Ashley Hutton. First-team coach Marty Hunter said the early goals matched the game plan and the staff tested formations during the match.
