Police in Northern Ireland seek information after 13 lambs died at a farm on Drumsesk Road in Rostrevor. The animals were killed between 7pm on Friday 13 March and 7.45am on Saturday 14 March. Officers state their necks appear to have been deliberately broken.

Farmer Kevin McGivern found the lambs dead around 8am on Saturday. He noted at least 11 had broken necks while others showed signs of strangling.

PSNI Inspector Reynolds described the incident as a shocking crime. The force urges witnesses who saw anything unusual in the area to contact officers on 101, quoting reference 495 14/03/26. Information can also go anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

PETA offers a reward of up to £5,000 for details leading to arrest and conviction. The group's vice president Elisa Allen called for action to identify those responsible.

Cllr Mark Gibbons, independent representative for Crotlieve DEA, appealed for public help including dashcam or CCTV footage. He expressed support for the farmer and family.
