Police in Northern Ireland are seeking information after 13 lambs were killed on a farm along Drumsesk Road in Rostrevor. The incident took place between 7pm on Friday, March 13, and 7.45am on Saturday, March 14.

Farmer Kevin McGivern discovered the dead lambs that Saturday morning around 8am when he arrived at the field with his brother to feed the sheep. Inspector Reynolds of the PSNI stated that the lambs' necks had been deliberately broken.

McGivern reported that at least 11 lambs had broken necks while others showed signs of strangulation. Reynolds called it a shocking crime and asked witnesses who saw anything unusual in the Drumsesk Road area during those hours to contact police.

Independent councillor Mark Gibbons urged anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV from the area to assist the investigation.
