Breeders sold all nine Hereford bulls at the Premier Show and Sale at Dungannon Farmers Mart. The average price stood at £4410. Several buyers left without buying one.
John and William McMordie from Ballygowan secured the top three prices with their bulls. Their 23-month-old Solpoll 1 Becker sold for 4900gns to L Heslip in Dungannon. Solpoll 1 Boris, selected as champion by judge Christopher McCrea, fetched 4600gns to K Hunter in Magherafelt. Solpoll 1 Bushmills matched that price and sold to F McGurk in Cookstown.
The McMordie family from Saintfield sold River-Dale 1 Bonanza for 4500gns to G Cuddy in Dungannon.
Roy and Pat McClenaghan from Hollywood sold a son of Fabb 1 Northern Star for 4100gns to O Keown in Enniskillen.
Mark and Lawrence Moore from Aughnacloy sold two bulls sired by Cave Hill Max. Annaghbeg Masala fetched 4000gns to A Liggett in Clogher. Annaghbeg Mixer sold for 3700gns to J McConville in Rathfriland.
Nathaniel Shaw from Dungannon sold two bulls. Sessiagh 1 Burger King, a son of Northern Star, went for 3800gns to B Henry in Clogher. Sessiagh 1 Bacardi sold for 3600gns to E Robinson in Dungannon.
