Residents of Bryansford have moved to re-establish a community association, forming a new 12-strong committee at a well-attended meeting this month.

The meeting saw locals voice concerns over day-to-day issues including road resurfacing, parking, speeding, and signage. Road safety and speeding were identified as particular priorities.

The new association aims to provide a collective voice for the village, raising concerns with relevant authorities where appropriate. It also seeks to foster community spirit and create opportunities for residents to come together.

A statement from attendees acknowledged that every resident has something to offer, whether through practical tasks, administrative work, organising activities, or simply offering encouragement. The aim is to create an open and welcoming association that allows people to contribute in whatever way suits them.

The committee was formed to provide a foundation for the association’s development and support the village and its residents.
