Emma Mezei, a 10-year-old tennis player from Ballymena, has entered a three-year partnership with Galgorm Collection after reaching the final of the William Fry All Ireland Under 10 Junior Championships.

Her runner-up finish at Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin marked the first time in more than four decades that a member of Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club has reached an All-Ireland junior final.

Galgorm Collection will cover tournament entry fees and equipment costs over the next three years, supporting Mezei's development as she aims to compete in selected Tennis Europe events.

Colin Johnston, CEO of Galgorm Collection, said the company was proud to support a determined local athlete and noted that participation in sport builds skills such as teamwork, perseverance, dedication and problem-solving. Galgorm Collection employs more than 1,400 people across Northern Ireland.

Mezei's father, Csabi Mezei, said the family is grateful for the support, which will help his daughter gain experience at a higher level. He said Emma is passionate about tennis and wants to compete in selected Tennis Europe tournaments.

The partnership adds Mezei to Galgorm Collection's wider programme of support for sport in Northern Ireland, which includes Ballymena Hockey Club, All Saints GAA and Netball NI.
