PSNI Warns of Traffic Disruption Ahead of Portrush Parade
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has issued an advisory about likely traffic disruption in Portrush on Saturday evening due to a large parade. Over 70 bands are expected to participate, drawing a high number of spectators and participants.
The parade will set off from the Fire Station car park at approximately 8.15pm. It will follow a route along Sandhill Drive, Eglinton Street, Kerr Street, Upper Main Street, Lower Main Street, Causeway Street, Victoria Street, Dunluce Avenue, and back to Sandhill Drive before returning to the starting point.
Vehicle access to the town will be restricted from 8pm. Motorists will not be able to exit certain parts of the town between 8pm and 11pm. Parking at the East Strand and West Strand car parks will remain open throughout.
PSNI officers will be on duty to manage public safety and oversee traffic diversions. Diversions will be implemented as needed to keep vehicles moving. Local businesses will stay open and accessible as usual.
