A woman in her sixties has died following a road traffic collision in Aghagallon, County Antrim.

Police received a report at approximately 2.50pm on Friday 23 October of a collision involving a pedestrian and a white Audi Q3 on the Lurgan Road.

Officers and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead.

A 34-year-old man, the driver of the Audi Q3, has been arrested and remains in custody.

Detective Inspector Stewart from the Collision Investigation Unit stated that enquiries are ongoing. Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam or other footage to come forward, quoting reference 949 of 23/10/26. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers.
