Police have warned of traffic disruption in Portrush on Saturday afternoon as two separate parades will require temporary road closures. Delays are expected between 3.30pm and 6pm.

The Causeway Coast and Glens Concerned Parents Group will gather from 2pm at Sandhill Drive car park. Its parade will move off at 3.30pm, taking in Eglinton Street, Kerr Street, Harbour Hill, Upper Main Street, Lower Main Street and Dunluce Avenue before finishing at Dunluce Car Park around 4.45pm.

Solidarity Skate will also assemble from 2pm at Station Square. At 4pm, its participants will begin a parade consisting of two laps of a route passing Station Square, Kerr Street, Main Street, Eglinton Street and returning to Kerr Street. The event is due to end by 6pm.

Police officers will be on duty to manage traffic and facilitate the parades. Short road closures will be introduced as the processions move through the town, and motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys or use alternative routes.
