PSNI Issues Traffic Alerts for St Patrick's Day Parades in Enniskillen and Omagh
Police in Northern Ireland anticipate traffic delays in Enniskillen and Omagh on Tuesday due to St Patrick's Day parades.
In Enniskillen, participants gather at Enniskillen Castle car park from 2.30pm. The parade begins at 3.30pm along Wellington Road, Friths Pass, Belmore Street, East Bridge Street, Townhall Street, High Street, Church Street, Darling Street and Castle Street. It finishes at Wellington Road Castle Car Park around 6pm.
Officers manage traffic during the event. Drivers avoid delays by using other routes.
Street traders require a licence from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. Stalls remain off the road.
In Omagh, the parade assembles at South West College at 2pm and starts around 3pm. The route includes Drumragh Avenue, Market Street, High Street, John Street, James Street, George Street and Bridge Street. Dispersal occurs around 5pm.
Police enforce parking restrictions along routes. Blue badge areas and no parking zones receive priority.
Officers aim for smooth traffic flow and a safe event for all.
