Strabane will host the Summer Jamm festival this Saturday, featuring music, food, and family entertainment across several town-centre streets.

Children's activities include face painting, caricatures, arts and crafts, balloon modelling, and a visiting Kidz Farm. The Crafty Corner in Strabane Library will offer games and workshops.

Trad-pop groups will perform on Castle Street and Castle Place throughout the day. A food quarter will sell barbecue, Indian and Asian cuisine, crepes, and ice cream. Local restaurants and cafes will also have stalls.

A new Artisan Homegrown Market, run with Studio One, will showcase handmade crafts. Demonstrations will include willow weaving, bodhrán making, green wood working, pottery and traditional music.

The Bear Run 74 Car Show returns to Railway Street with a display of vehicles. DJ Ray and local dance and drama groups will also perform.

An After Dark Programme will follow from 5pm, with a musical trail through local bars hosting live entertainment.

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Grace Uí Niallais, said the event is a celebration of the town and an opportunity to support local businesses. She encouraged families and visitors to attend.

Railway Street, Main Street, Castle Street and Castle Place will be closed to traffic from 7am to 7pm on Saturday.
