St Gall's GAC and St Brigid's GAC held their Hurling for Hunger tournament after a three-year break.

Fixtures took place over the pre-season period. St Gall's played St John's at Milltown for the Cup, and St Gall's also faced St Brigid's, East Belfast and Loch Mór Gaels.

St John's won the Cup. Loch Mór Gaels won the Shield after a shootout at St Genevieve's.

The event raised £4,300. Foodstock NI and the Daughters of Charity each received £2,150.

The tournament began in 2022 after an idea from St Gall's club member Jackie Webb. Organisers included Priscilla McGreevey, Paul Flannagan and John Rush.

Foodstock NI will use its share for community meals and school breakfast clubs.

The Daughters of Charity will direct funds to a water supply project in Matisi Kitale, Kenya.
