Blue Lights cast visits Marie Curie Hospice after series four filming
Actors from the BBC drama Blue Lights visited the Marie Curie Hospice in Belfast after filming concluded on the fourth series.
Richard Dormer, Sian Brooke, Katherine Devlin and Joanne Crawford attended the visit along with series co-creator Declan Lawn and executive producer Stephen Wright.
Patients and staff spoke with the group about the hospice services, which include inpatient and outpatient care, wellbeing support, bereavement services and physiotherapy.
Simon Phillips, a patient receiving treatment for a parotid gland tumour, described the series as a source of distraction and conversation with staff and visitors.
Declan Lawn said the visit was moving and highlighted the care provided to patients and families at the end of life.
Dr Catherine Doherty, a consultant at the hospice, said the visit created moments of connection for patients and their families.
Marie Curie provides end-of-life care for people with terminal illnesses including cancer, dementia, heart disease and motor neurone disease, funded through public donations.
