Met Office Forecasts Thundery Showers for Northern Ireland Bank Holiday Weekend
The Met Office predicts warm conditions early in the week across the UK, including western Northern Ireland, with highs near 19C possible. A shift to unsettled weather arrives later, featuring heavy showers and thunder risks.
Tuesday brings cooler temperatures for many areas, with cloud, patchy drizzle, and developing sunny spells. Midweek sees high pressure return, delivering dry and fine weather with ample sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday, though winds pick up in southern regions.
From Thursday into Friday, rain and showers spread from the south and west, including potential thundery bursts. Sunshine ahead of the fronts creates warm, humid conditions.
Over the bank holiday weekend, expect changeable patterns with showers, sunnier intervals, and wetter spells, especially in northern areas. The mix of sun and showers continues through Sunday and Monday.
Met Office deputy chief forecaster Tom Crabtree stated that Friday will see rain and showers from the southwest, some heavy and thundery, following warm, humid spells with temperatures up to 24C in central and southern England.
