Unsettled Weather to Continue in Northern Ireland as Heat Builds Elsewhere
Northern Ireland will see a continuation of unsettled weather through the end of the week, the Met Office has said, as low pressure to the northwest drives frequent cloud, outbreaks of rain and blustery winds.
The province remains on the cooler, wetter side of a pronounced north-south divide, with temperatures staying near average or slightly below. While parts of south-east England may reach 30C or higher by Friday, conditions across Northern Ireland will be noticeably fresher.
Rainfall totals are not expected to be especially high, but bands of rain will move through on some days, with the possibility of heavier and more persistent spells. The Met Office warned that the warm, humid air to the south could also generate intense showers or thunderstorms later in the week, bringing a risk of short-lived disruption.
The mixed pattern is likely to persist into the weekend and early next week, with no significant change in the broad outlook for Northern Ireland.
