Police arrested a 43-year-old man following a single-vehicle collision on Clanabogan Road near Omagh in Co Tyrone. The incident occurred at around 9.45pm on Friday, April 17.

The car collided with a fence and overturned in a field outside a property. Officers attended the scene and took the driver into custody on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol in breath and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

The man has been released on bail pending further police enquiries. Police issued a public warning about the risks of driving under the influence, noting that such actions lead to lives put at risk and vehicle destruction.

They shared an image of the wreckage on social media. Officers stated the driver faces court proceedings.
