Courts: Quarry firm fined £110,000 over fatal boulder incident as bail varied for man accused of racist attacks
BALLYMENA: A 51-year-old man who pleaded guilty to tendering a counterfeit £20 note at a shop to buy a £1.70 item and receive £18.30 in change was given a four-month jail term, suspended for three years.
BELFAST: A 37-year-old East Belfast man accused of nine offences including three counts of common assault, disorderly behaviour, harassment, possession of cannabis and inciting hatred has had his bail varied by the High Court to allow him to attend demonstrations and access social media, though he is barred from posting or reposting anti-immigration material. Madam Justice McBride warned that any breach of bail conditions could result in a lengthy period of remand custody ahead of the next review on 20 April.
