Queen's Film Theatre in Belfast ranked number 22 on a list of the world's top cinemas. The venue sits next to Queen's University. It operates two screens inside a terrace house structure. The cinema began in 1968 after the local film festival founder convinced the university to convert a lecture theatre into a 250-seat space.

Cherith Crozier, QFT Business and Operations Manager, called the ranking a privilege and recognition for staff and supporters. She noted the venue draws a loyal audience, including visitors attending for 60 years. Crozier described the site as an unassuming building that opens into a welcoming space offering films from around the world.

The list places New York and Budapest cinemas at 23rd and 21st. Two Dublin cinemas appear lower, at 35th and 2nd.
