Northern Ireland's arts venues have scheduled a series of theatre productions, music festivals and exhibitions for spring 2026. Events concentrate in Belfast and Derry-Londonderry, with performances running from late March to mid-May.

Tinderbox Theatre Company presents Incubate Festival on 5 April at the MAC in Belfast. Seven new theatre pieces feature work by artists Charlotte McCurry, Soso Ni Cheallaigh, Michael McEvoy, Steven Millar, Simon Sweeney, Catherine Rees and Seon Simpson.

Sonorities Festival occurs in Belfast from 15 to 18 April. Over 120 artists perform in 40 events across venues including Queens, the Black Box, the Empire, Accidental Theatre, DAS Gallery, PS2 Gallery, W5 and the River Lagan. Headliners include ROIS, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Robocobra Quartet, Bill Orcutt with Adjunct Ensemble and Rrose. All but four events offer free admission.

Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival runs in Belfast from 29 April to 10 May. Scheduled performances include Robert Finley at the Empire Music Hall on 29 April, a Derek Mahon celebration with Stephen Rea and Katy Mahon at Carlisle Memorial Church on 2 May, Susannah Dickey at the Deer’s Head on 4 May, Prestige Drama by Séamas O’Reilly at the Seamus Heaney Centre on 8 May and Earth to Alice by Alice McCullough at the Dark Horse on 10 May.

Kabosh Theatre Company stages Cuckoo Land at the MAC from 11 to 26 April. The production examines the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition and its push for women's representation in politics and public life.

The Lyric Theatre's spring programme features GROUP by Belfast Ensemble from 24 March to 4 April, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein from 21 April to 2 May and Tea in a China Cup from 2 to 30 May. The Playhouse in Derry-Londonderry lists music events with Sorcha Richardson, Niamh Regan, Reevah and Our Krypton Son on 4 April, plus others through late May.

Grand Opera House offers Friends, A Musical Parody from 7 to 11 April, Anything Goes from 14 to 18 April and Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile from 28 April to 2 May. Millennium Forum in Derry-Londonderry includes Walled City Passion from 2 to 4 April and Ulster Orchestra's On Your Doorstep concert on 25 April.

Visual arts exhibitions open at the MAC with works by Kwok Tsui, Dawn Richardson and Chad Alexander, and Michelle Williams Gamaker from 24 April to 5 July. Belfast Exposed presents three shows on identity from 2 April to 23 May, including group photography in Gallery I, Iollann Ó Murchú in Gallery II and Rebecca Brownlie in the Archive Gallery.
