A petrol bomb was thrown at a house in the Rosemary Place area of Coleraine in the early hours of Saturday 25 July. Police were alerted at approximately 3.45am and attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.

The occupant of the property managed to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported.

Detective Sergeant Higgins described the incident as a reckless attack and said detectives were working to establish the full circumstances. He appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed suspicious activity to come forward.
