Jordan McPolin, a 20-year-old from Hilltown in Co Down, qualified for the grand final of TG4 country music programme Glór Tíre. He performed during the live semi-final broadcast on 3 March.

McPolin sang two songs and received enough public votes to advance. The grand final airs on TG4 on 10 March at 9.30pm. He will compete against Paudie Coffey from Kerry and Dee Morrissey from Tipperary.

Previous Northern Ireland contestants include winner Paddy Treacy from Fermanagh in 2025, finalists John Mullan from Derry and Conor Owens from Fermanagh in 2025, and finalist Karl Kirkpatrick from Fermanagh in 2024. Other recent Northern Ireland quarter-finalists were Maeve Farrell from Annaclone, Ryan Lynch from Strabane, and Marty Breslin from Londonderry.

McPolin noted strong support from people in Co Down. His outfits for the show came from Louis Boyd's Menswear in Newry. He reported increased bookings and larger audiences at his gigs since appearing on the programme.

McPolin described reaching the final as unexpected and a significant career boost. He aims to represent Northern Ireland in the competition.
