A new eight-lane athletics track and a 3G synthetic pitch have been completed at Mid Ulster Sports Arena.

The development was delivered through a partnership between Mid Ulster District Council and Sport NI.

MP for Mid Ulster Cathal Mallaghan described the project as a significant investment in community health and sport. He said it creates opportunities for athletes, clubs, schools, and the wider public.

The facility is intended for training, development, and competition use. Mallaghan stated that the project is a legacy that will benefit future generations.

He commended the council, Sport NI, and the contractors who worked on the delivery.
