Police Investigate Unexplained Head Injury in Creggan
Police are investigating after a man was discovered with a significant head injury on a street in the Creggan area of Derry.
Officers were called to Benevenagh Gardens at 6:14am on Thursday 23 July. The man was found lying on the road, and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended before transferring him to hospital for treatment.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland stated the man may have been on the ground for some time before the incident was reported. Enquiries so far have included speaking with residents, and police expressed gratitude to those who have assisted.
A senior officer appealed directly to anyone who was in the area between the early hours of Thursday and 6am and may have seen anything unusual.
