A fundraising motorcycle ride will take place on Sunday, June 28, to support an Omagh man diagnosed with stage four brain cancer.

The event has been organised by members of the local motorcycling community to help Nigel Humphrey access specialist treatment abroad that his family cannot afford on their own.

Participants will assemble at Omagh Bus Depot from 10am, where refreshments will be available for purchase. The ride will depart at approximately 11am and follow a route from Omagh to Enniskillen via Belleek. A 30-minute fuel stop is planned in Belleek before the convoy continues to the Round O in Enniskillen, then returns to Omagh, ending at the Coach Inn car park.

Organisers suggest a donation of £20 per motorcycle, with additional contributions welcome. Those unable to attend can still contribute by contacting the organisers directly.

Mr Humphrey, aged 40, was a full-time welder who played football and led an active life until experiencing a series of seizures. He was transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, where he suffered three further seizures. He has since been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

Consultations with specialists in London and Turkey have identified private treatments that may help prolong his life. The Humphrey family launched a GoFundMe appeal with a target of £110,000 to cover treatment, travel, and accommodation costs, as well as to offset the financial impact of Mr Humphrey's inability to work. So far, more than £60,000 has been raised.

Organisers Trevor Boggs and Bill McGrew stated that the ride is intended to raise vital funds for Mr Humphrey, a father and keen motorcyclist, so he can pursue treatment and continue making memories with his young family.
