Omagh men plan 52-mile walk to fund cancer treatment
Two men from the Omagh area will walk 52.6 miles over two days to raise funds for Nigel Humphrey, who is receiving treatment for brain cancer.
The walk starts on 12 June from Omagh and passes through Gortin, Plumbridge, Claudy and Limavady before ending at Benone.
Humphrey, 40, previously worked as a welder. He has stopped work following his diagnosis.
His family is seeking £110,000 for specialist treatment in Turkey. £50,000 has been raised so far.
Wes Ferguson and David Young are organising the walk. They will camp overnight during the route.
Sponsorship from local businesses is being sought. Logos will appear on clothing and a support vehicle.
Supporters will be able to track arrival times at each location. Donation points linked to Humphrey's fundraising page will be available along the route.
