PSNI: No Evidence to Support Claims of Drugging Incident in Limavady
Police investigating online speculation about a drugging incident at a Limavady forecourt have found no evidence to substantiate the claims.
Reports circulating on social media alleged that a woman became unwell after an encounter at the Ballyquinn Road premises. The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed they were aware of the speculation and carried out a number of enquiries.
Chief Inspector Adams said officers had received no formal complaint but appealed publicly for anyone with information to make contact. The appeal sought witnesses, CCTV, or dash-cam footage that could assist the investigation.
Following those enquiries, Chief Inspector Adams stated: “No evidence was identified by officers throughout the course of enquiries to substantiate online speculation concerning an incident at a forecourt in the Ballyquinn Road area.”
Despite the outcome, police are still encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward. They can be reached on 101, or 999 in an emergency. Reports can also be submitted online via the PSNI website or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
