Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has confirmed its continued support for the Budget Energy SuperCupNI youth football tournament.

The borough will host fixtures in the Boys’ Minor, Junior and Premier sections during the event, which runs from Sunday 26 July to Friday 31 July 2026.

Sixty-four teams from across the globe will compete in more than 150 matches across five age groups, involving over 1,000 players.

Confirmed participating academies include Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Sunderland, Leeds United and West Ham United.

Mayor Councillor Jackson Minford stated that the council is proud to support the event, citing economic and tourism benefits for the area.

Tournament Coordinator Sam Gamble said the council’s involvement helps deliver a world-class competition and showcases the borough internationally.

The tournament, now in its 43rd year, is also supported by Budget Energy and other partners including Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
