A man from Derry was remanded in custody after he was found in breach of bail conditions.

Michael McMahon, 35, of Clon Elagh, was arrested at 2.40am after police called at an address.

The court heard that McMahon was not at his bail address and had breached his curfew.

A preliminary breath test showed a reading four times the legal limit.

Bail was objected to because McMahon had 18 previous breaches and police said he was unlikely to comply with conditions.

Defence counsel said McMahon accepted the breach and asked for a warning.

District Judge Oonagh Mullan said McMahon had no intention of abiding by conditions and remanded him in custody to appear again next month.
