Foyle Valley Greenway lighting and resurfacing work begins
Work has commenced on a project to install new lighting and resurface a section of the Foyle Valley Greenway in Derry. The work covers the pathway between Craigavon Bridge and Coshowen.
Derry City & Strabane District Council approved the scheme last year, which includes 50 new lighting columns and resurfacing of the existing footpath.
Councillor Logue said the improvements will benefit the many runners, walkers and cyclists who use the route. She noted that hundreds of people use the riverside walkway every day for walking, running and family time.
The councillor said the works will enhance the area, improve links to the Peace Bridge, and provide lighting to make it safer for all users. She urged those using the pathway to be mindful of the ongoing works.
