Martin Stokes, 31, from Mill Race in Belfast, faces trial in Derry Crown Court. He is charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to a police officer. The alleged offence occurred on August 15, 2025.

The case came before the court on May 13. The court accepted there was a case to answer. No submissions were made to the contrary.

Stokes submitted no statements. He called no witnesses.
