Draperstown Man Banned from Driving After Insurance Offence Near Stewartstown
A 36-year-old man from Glenelly Villas in Draperstown received a seven-day driving ban at Dungannon Magistrates Court for operating a vehicle without insurance.
Marek Przyczka was fined £150 plus a £15 offender's levy for the offence that occurred on January 22.
Police stopped the van in the Hillhead Road area on the outskirts of Stewartstown. Checks confirmed no insurance coverage and led to the vehicle's seizure.
The court heard the van had been unused at Przyczka's home. He intended to get it MoT'd, taxed and sold.
Przyczka held insurance for two other vehicles but had not added this one to the policy. He planned a short trip to Cookstown for the MoT.
