North West Regional College's Business Support Centre collaborated with Total Precision Ltd on an 18-month project to enhance digital manufacturing capabilities. The effort received funding from InterTradeIreland's Innovation Boost programme.

Total Precision Ltd, based in Waterford, introduced advanced digital practices to improve production visibility, quality management, and operational efficiency. Innovation Boost Consultant Joe Kelleher guided the partnership with the college's Industry 4.0 Centre.

Niall Brennan, Operations Manager at Total Precision, stated the project enabled exploration of new digital methods for production management and maintaining customer standards. He noted the company is positioned to expand manufacturing capabilities across Ireland and the UK.

Cathal Ferry, Manager of North West Regional College's Industry 4.0 Centre, described the partnership as demonstrating the benefits of industry-academia links in adopting technologies for competitiveness.

Martin O’Kane, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme Manager at InterTradeIreland, said the programme connects SMEs with academic experts to address business challenges and drive growth through improved processes.
