Police in Northern Ireland charged a 33-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in north Belfast. The incident took place in the Bentinck Street area on 26 March.

The man faces charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He also stands accused of possessing an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is scheduled to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on 30 March. The Public Prosecution Service will review the charges as standard procedure.
