A man in his 50s died following a house fire in Dunmurry on the outskirts of Belfast. Emergency services responded to the blaze at a property on Station View.

All three emergency services attended the incident, reported at around 8:40pm on Monday, March 9. Firefighters from Lisburn and Cadogan fire stations arrived shortly after the 8:36pm call.

Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used two hose reels to put out the fire. The man passed away at the scene.

Firefighters departed at 10:28pm. Police continue enquiries into the fire's circumstances.

The PSNI stated the fire is not treated as suspicious at this time. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service determined the cause as accidental.
