NI Water Seeks Public Aid to Curb Anti-Social Acts at Derry Bridge Project
NI Water is advancing a £2.5 million project at Craigavon Bridge in Londonderry to secure the city's water supply for the next 25 years. The upgrades aim to strengthen the local water network for homes and businesses.
Project manager Anna Delargy stated that recent anti-social activity at the site endangers workers and the public. She noted that such actions risk damaging safety hoarding and equipment, which delays the work.
Delargy stressed that safety remains the top priority for NI Water. The company urges the public to avoid the site and report incidents to maintain progress.
NI Water has asked local leaders and community representatives to help prevent these occurrences. People spotting suspicious behaviour can call PSNI on 101, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or Waterline on 03457 440088.
