NI Water Requests Public Assistance to Address Antisocial Behaviour at Derry Bridge Site
NI Water is carrying out a £2.5 million programme at Craigavon Bridge in Derry to protect the city's water supply for 25 years. The work aims to increase resilience in the water network and supply security for households and businesses.
Project manager Anna Delargy reported recent antisocial behaviour at the site. She said the activity risks damaging safety hoarding and a barge during construction.
Delargy stated the behaviour endangers teams and the community. She noted it delays the infrastructure project.
NI Water places safety of workers and residents first. The company asks community representatives and leaders to prevent the incidents.
Witnesses should contact PSNI on 101, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or Waterline on 03457 440088.
The project continues despite the issues.
