Armagh Mother Appeals for Help to Leave Dubai After Regional Attacks
Denise Curran from Armagh made a public appeal to return to Northern Ireland from Dubai. She travelled there on holiday with her husband and two children aged 3 and 2. They stayed in the Jumeirah Beach Residence area.
Iran launched attacks across the region on February 28. Curran's family saw missiles overhead and heard explosions. Authorities ordered them to stay indoors.
Thousands of flights cancelled due to the conflict. Airlines prioritised some passengers as airspace partially reopened. Curran's family could not get places on those flights.
Curran holds bookings for a flight on Sunday. She expressed doubt about whether it will depart. Scheduled flights continue to cancel while some others leave.
In her appeal Curran requested help to bring her children home safely. She contacted Emirates and Deputy First Minister Michelle O’Neill.
