Gardaí have launched an investigation after a trailer with mesh sides was stolen from the Crossroads and Killygordon Enterprise (CAKE) Centre in Killygordon, County Donegal.

The break-in occurred shortly before 1am on October 29. The trailer was later spotted in the Aghyaran area on the Tyrone side of the border, and there is a possibility it has since been taken into Fermanagh.

A garda spokesperson appealed for anyone who travelled in the Killygordon or Crossroads areas, including the Monellan Road - Carn border, between 12:30am and 1am on October 29 to provide dash-cam footage.

Gardaí are particularly interested in sightings of a white Ford estate car believed to have been in the area at the time.

The CAKE group said the trailer is used for community work and is invaluable to them.
