Police in Northern Ireland are investigating two separate incidents in County Fermanagh: the death of a woman in Enniskillen and the theft of parts from lorries near Newtownbutler.

A woman in her 50s was found dead in the Windmill Heights area of Enniskillen on Wednesday, October 7. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) attended the scene and a post-mortem examination has been completed. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

In a separate case, police are investigating the theft of high-value parts from three lorries parked in the Magheraveely Road area near Newtownbutler. The thefts were reported on Monday, October 12. The lorries were found damaged and stripped of parts.

CCTV footage has identified a white van seen in the area that police believe is connected to the thefts. Police are also aware of similar incidents in County Monaghan and are working with An Garda Síochána to determine if there are any links.

Police have appealed for information from the public. They are particularly interested in any CCTV or dashcam footage from border areas in recent days. Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting reference 546 12/10/26, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
