A Lurgan woman has been fined after admitting she failed to respond to a council notice linked to illegal dumping in Derrymacash.

Carmen Wilkie, of Pollock Mews, pleaded guilty at Craigavon Magistrates' Departmental Court to one count of failing to comply with an Article 44 notice.

The case concerns ten bags, three cardboard boxes, and a suitcase dumped without authorisation.

Council officials issued the notice as part of an investigation, but Wilkie did not comply.

She told the court she blamed her former partner for the dumping.

Wilkie was fined in connection with the offence.
