Stephen McCullagh, a Lurgan man serving a life sentence for the murder of Natalie McNally, faces 17 charges of voyeurism and one charge each of making and possessing an indecent image of a child. The charges span from 1 January 2007 to 30 January 2023.

The voyeurism charges allege that McCullagh covertly recorded 12 women doing private acts for sexual gratification, knowing they did not consent. Women shown in the videos confirmed they had not consented to being recorded.

Prosecutors said some recordings captured sexual acts where the women appeared unaware of the camera. Other videos were taken in public spaces such as supermarket car parks, with the camera zoomed in on women's bodies.

A court heard material allegedly found on McCullagh's hard drive included images of women, naked or half dressed, that had been cropped and edited together to make it appear they were lying in bed together.

A reporting restriction on the voyeurism case was imposed pending McCullagh's murder trial. On 17 September, Judge Patrick Lynch KC lifted the restriction, saying there was no chance 12 jurors in Northern Ireland would not have prior knowledge of the murder conviction.

McCullagh was unanimously convicted earlier this year of murdering his pregnant partner Natalie McNally in Lurgan on 18 December 2022. He received a minimum 31-year life tariff.
