Two dead after van crash in Glenariffe, Co Antrim
Two people have died after a single-vehicle collision in the Glenariffe area of Ballymena, County Antrim.
Police received a report shortly before 9.10pm on Saturday 18 July of a crash involving a silver Ford Transit Custom van on Glenariffe Road. Officers attended along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
The two occupants of the van, a 41-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The woman was later named as Natasha Gove, 31, from the Ballyclare area. The man has not been publicly identified.
Glenariffe Road was closed for a time but has since fully reopened.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit is continuing enquiries and has appealed for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam or other footage to come forward.
