A band competition and parade is scheduled to take place in Bangor on Friday, 24th July. The event is planned between 7pm and 11.30pm.

Approximately 2,500 people and between 50 and 60 bands are expected to participate.

Participants will assemble at Marquis Hall on Abbey Street. The parade route will proceed along Abbey Street, Main Street, Bridge Street, High Street, Bingham Street, Mills Road, and Hamilton Road before returning via Main Street and Abbey Street to Marquis Hall.

Police officers will be deployed in the area to manage traffic diversions and to maintain access for residents and carers.

Motorists who do not plan to attend the event are urged to seek an alternative route for their journeys.
