Local food and drink producers from the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon area were on display at this year's Armagh County Agricultural Show. The council's Food Heartland stand featured a range of businesses offering samples and information to visitors.

Producers present included Long Meadow Cider, Peggys Family Farm, Apple Tree Farm, The Hemp and Honey Farm Co-Op, and Richmount Health Foods. Other Food Heartland members attending were Jackson Roze, Simply Fruit, Marshalls Beekeeping, Rhiannon's Cakes & Bakes, White Oats, and Pinkertons Ltd.

Lord Mayor Councillor Mary O'Dowd and senior council representatives toured the stand and spoke with livestock exhibitors and local businesses. The Lord Mayor said the quality and enthusiasm of exhibitors demonstrated the strength of the agri-food sector in the borough and its importance to rural communities. She added that such events celebrated agricultural heritage while highlighting ongoing innovation in the industry.

The council reiterated its commitment to supporting local producers through the Food Heartland programme, which aims to help businesses develop and promote the borough as a food and drink destination.
